Recently I'm going for jogging almost everyday. Well, not really jogging. It's a mixture of walk and run. But, now I'm doing it most of the days whenever I recover from my hibernation.
Initially I started as full walking only during last year MCO. I was actively working out everyday and I included 45mins walking in my daily routine. End of the MCO, I noticed I lost 6kg and many people said I look hot...hehe.. So, that's one of the reason why I like jogging. I'm not really sure whether it contributed for my weight lost but I'm sure it must a part of it because I read somewhere that 45mins of fast pace walk everyday can aid for weight loss and belly fat.
Nextly, I'm scared I will go back to my initial weight again. Actually my initial weight is still normal weight but I want to look thinner. So, the worry part drives me to go jogging everyday too. I don't want all my effort last time go to waste. Gaining back weight is easy but losing is the hardest thing to do.
Besides that, I'm an outdoor person. I realised that during MCO too. I need to be out like everyday. I get depressed if I stay inside for continuously 2 days. So, the safer place for me to be out during the pandemic is the park inside my house for exercise. I will be on the move continuously with jogging, so I won't have any close contact with people and I can be out of the house too. I can see the lake, plants, trees and so on. I feel close to the nature.
My final reason is I love it when I sweat. I feel like my stress is going out with the sweat. Many years ago, a doctor advised me that if I feel stress I should sweat it out and shouldn't take any pills. And, I realise it's true that jogging is destressing. I always feel better and calmer after my jogging session. That's why even during the days I don't want to jog, I force myself to go out to the park and walk at least because I know I won't regret my decision and I will feel lot better.
So, let's start jogging/walking everyone. But please keep distance from other people. Don't do it in groups. Be safe!!

ReplyDeleteLong time ago I also went for jogging. But in these recent years I dont have time to do it cause Im working late night shift. However Im still do some excercise like fast walking and using stairs. Good for you if u can keep an ideal weight after jogging :)

ReplyDeleteMe too... Musim MCO ni bila limit pergerakan i memang akan joging area rumah je.. Paling x pon i akan keliling kawasan perumahan bila free.. Rse ringan bdn slps senam..
ReplyDeleteLama jugak tak jogging selepas pilih buat jumping rope , berbasikal dan hiking sebagai senaman. Ni sekarang lepas lutut injured pun dah jump rope. Nanti nak jogging baliklah slow2 pun ok kan.

ReplyDeleteGood for you. I've run full marathons. Two, in fact. And attempted one ultra. But I never learned to love anything cardio, not even jogging. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy sweating until recently years that when I skipped my gym, it is so hard to start back the engine to enjoy it.. lagi2 with the current MCO bah.. aduii..

ReplyDeleteSis kan dulu kaki jogging juga, then stop sebab anak mula sekolah pagi dan ada kelas agama.. lepas tu berat naik huhuhu.. then terus Sis taknak jogging lagi hahahahaha..

ReplyDeleteI used to stay active and marathon and stuff, but since MCO, I feel like I lost it and gained 10kg from stress eating. Haha, maybe I should start jog back.
